True hardware random number generator
Main goal of the paper is to justify usage of true open source low cost random number generator in respect to inefficient and unsecured software random number generators.
First part of the work gives an overview of theoretic foundation of the random entropy, as well as providing insight to relevant topics necessary for understanding basic concept of random numbers.
Furthermore, with help of prototype of low cost hardware being both open source in terms of code and hardware schematics, a transparent overview is given for the in-depth function of the hardware, meanwhile not compromising security, especially in cryptography sense. The hardware provides great cost/efficiency ratio and allows modifications and upgrades in a simple fashion.
In the end, results show that numbers generated by the hardware complies with complex statistical tests with a very important factor inability to recreate the same sequence of random number owing to the nature of generating method.
